A seven channel receiver with a hi fi oriented design, Denon’s AVR-X2900H targets newcomers to AV audio with a performance that exceeds expectations – clarity, spatial accuracy and musicality all impress. It packs discrete amplification to power home cinema systems to 7.2 or 5.1.2, with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and delivers 95W per channel for stereo listening. A revamped circuit design reduces resistance in the receiver’s signal and power paths, and Denon has introduced a new 32 bit DAC/DSP array, improving the preamp S/N ratio by 15dB. Music talents include streaming through the HEOS platform, plus playback of high-res 192kHz/24-bit PCM and 5.6MHz DSD files, and its sound can be optimised to the user’s room through Audyssey and optional Dirac Live calibration
